HAPPY FATHER’S DAY!!!
EL NIDO FURNISHING!! Eastside sponsors an apartment at the El Nido Family Shelter for abused and battered women and their children. When the apartment becomes vacant we furnish it so that it is ready for the next family in crisis. Shortly, our Apartment #11 will become vacant. If you have furnishings or would like to gather free furnshings from “Craig’s List” or other sources, please see the bulletin insert for the list of what we need. 4TH OF JULY PICNIC & FIREWORKS MAKE YOUR RESERVATION TODAY!!! Saturday, July 4th we’re going to take a BLAST TO THE PAST and celebrate the 4th like THEY used to…Red checkered tablecloths, lemonade and ice tea, barbecue, swimming, Bingo…balloon toss, watermelon eating contest….AND FIREWORKS…so reserve the 4th for a full day of FUN…Picnic starts at 4:00pm…MAKE YOUR RERVATION TODAY @ THE INFO TABLE!!!!!
MONDAY NIGHT PRAYER, JULY 6TH!!! Pastor Mark will be leading a prayer gathering at 7PM at the church office located at 520 South Magnoila Avenue in El Cajon…. We’ll be focusing on seeking the Lord’s direction for our lives, community and nation….

In order to provide an opportunity for the writers and artists at Eastside to share what they have written and/or drawn in order to inspire, edify and encourage others, a new publication is underway…. SOUP & SALAD IS A CALLIN’ , SUNDAY, JUNE 7TH !!! Our next fellowship meal will be on Sunday, June 7th and it is going to feature HOT, HOMEADE SOUPS…So we need 10 cowpokes or cowgirls to sign up to bring a crock pot full o’ soup…AND…. If you don’t COOK, here’s your chance to join the CHOWLINE anyways…. We are also having a SALAD BAR so you can sign up to bring one of the many FABULOUS salad topping options….SOOOOOO GET TO THE INFO TABLE TODAY!!!! AND….SIGN UP TO BRING SOMETHING YOU MADE OR SOMETHING YOU PAID(for)!!!!

POST-ABORTION HEALING PROGRAM JUNE 26-28!!!
The East County Pregnancy Care Clinic will host a post abortion healing program at the clinic located at 677 S. Magnolia Avenue in El Cajon. This program is for women who have had an abortion and are needing to find reconciliation, freedom from the pain, forgiveness, and a listening ear. The weekend will be centered on Jesus, and His forgiveness. There is no cost to participate. For additional info call 619-442-4357

As I look back over my life and the influence that my mother had on me, I realize that the things she taught me have never left my memory. They are burned into my character and will stay there forever. A righteous mother's influence for good spans the generations and touches the lives of so many more than her own children. Her influence radiates in the lives of her children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and out to all they come in contact. by Marnie Pehrson
I have the highest respect and admiration for those who are blessed to be called mothers. There are few assignments in human experience that require the array of skills and wisdom needed by a mom in fulfilling her everyday duties. She must be a resident psychologist, physician, theologian, educator, nurse, chef, taxi driver, fire marshal and occasional police officer. And if she succeeds in each of these responsibilities, she gets to do it all again tomorrow. Dr. James Dobson
